How to become a model
My advise to becoming a model: 1. You have to decide how much you want to do this job, are you ready to starve yourself ? and I mean starve. Are you ready to workout religiously ? Are you ready to get turned down 90 % of the time and do you have the stomach for people picking your body and face apart and telling you what is wrong with each little part of it. If you are saying " No I don't think so" ( Like a normal smart person would ) . You do not need to read any further , If you are saying " I think I can handle that" I commend you and by all means keep reading : First of all get everything you think modeling is out of your head , Shows like Americas top model with Tyra Banks , has nothing at all to do with what being a model is, I mean how many times are you going to do a shoot under water or flying in the air in your career etc. Properly not even once, so why would you judge one girls whole career on that one shoot. Next is if you think being a model means being a supermodel then think again, that era is over in fact Vanity Fair months ago http://www.vanityfair.com/ had an great article about the last 6 supermodels which were Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Shiffer and Naomi Campell. These girls banked in the bucks and no one since then have seen salaries like that . Forbes http://www.forbes.com/ claimed last year that Gisele made 35 million dollars, she came out afterwards and said " I would like to see where that money is cause its not in my account ". In fact actresses and celebrities like Paris Hilton , Jessica Alba and Britney Spears are today's models they have replaced the cover of our magazines and are the today's models for everything from watches to makeup . When I was 14 and started modeling those girls were what I wanted to be, not the stick figures and size minus 0 we see in today's scene .... I always used to think, Man I'm glad I'm not on the other side of the camera! Sometimes a shoot will go badly, but the best ones would always - literally - grin and bear it, put on their best face, and look as if they're having the time of their lives. I have no idea how they did it, performing like that with no signs of frustration whatsoever. It is definitely not a job anyone can do.
